A software company engaged Omni to help reengineer its product’s reporting features. The company was losing business on a key application because end users described it as “too complex” and “not user friendly.”
Omni leveraged the company’s underlying code and built a web-based reporting tool that could run on top of the existing software. The update transforms the way users build, interact with and deploy their reports.
Now, an intuitive interface gives users the option to generate multiple industry-standard reports. The tool advances the ease and efficiency with which users can access the full breadth and depth of the software’s capabilities.
Plus, new drag and drop tools allow users to design their own reports by manipulating components on a web canvas. With the custom reporting features, users can create reports without having to write code or understand the database structure behind their information. Omni also helped the company build in new financial features, including the ability to create purchase orders and print checks, enhancing overall product value.
During beta testing, user feedback was overwhelmingly positive. While the product has not yet been released to the full market, the client is confident that the new reporting features will differentiate them from the competition.
