Employee Benefits Corporation (EBC) wanted to revamp its Employer Portal, the website their clients use to complete a variety of tasks. Based on customer feedback that information was hard to find, EBC designed a task-based organization of their site to improve discovery and simplify navigation.
Omni assembled a project team including a delivery manger, project manager, multiple developers, and testers to work with EBC’s subject matter experts. Working in two-week sprints, the team kicked off each sprint with a detailed review of the assigned use cases and concluded with demos of the completed work. In addition, the teams had daily standups to address issues and questions.
Because EBC provides their clients with customized solutions, their systems include a high degree of complexity. Regular meetings that were essential for knowledge transfer also resulted in solid teamwork.
“The resources Omni provided were very competent and eager to do a good job. Furthermore, when needed, they'd go the extra mile to provide quality work and complete the deliverable.”

Throughout the project, Omni developers documented details about EBC’s code and back-end processes to help each other as they worked through the sprints. This documentation was handed off to EBC and now serves as a resource for their developers.
Having never worked with a third party, EBC was initially cautious about the engagement. But before Omni’s work on the Employer Portal was complete, EBC gained enough trust in Omni to extend the scope of work to include a second portal redesign and a Cobra reporting project.
