About Omni

At Omni, we’ve built a business around helping our customers find a better way.

Technology plays an essential role in most companies and organizations. At Omni, we feel like it’s our responsibility to think one step ahead with emerging technologies so we can help our clients leverage technology to adapt to a rapidly changing marketplace.

Our innovation process is designed to make technology an asset for our clients, enabling them to better serve their customers, differentiate themselves from their competition and drive their business forward.

At Omni, technology innovation is the center of our universe. It’s our present and our future and our primary aim is best summed up by our tagline: Helping Technology Keep Up With YOU.

What Makes Omni Different?

Technology Agnostic

Having a diverse team of seasoned engineers and consultants keeps us on the leading edge of new technologies. With knowledge of multiple technical solutions to any given problem, we don't promote any single programming language, platform or framework.

Instead, we help our clients make informed decisions that fit with their unique goals, scope, budget and timeline.

On a Mission

We strive to make technology an asset for our clients by harnessing the passion, talent and innovation of the Omni team.

We don’t want to create cool technology just for its own sake. Our passion is using technology to drive business forward.

Culture of Innovation

Innovation is part of Omni’s DNA. We have a restless desire to find better ways to solve business problems using technology. We aren’t afraid to experiment with new ideas and forge into new, unchartered territory.

The added value we offer is in thinking of unique ways to mix, match, stretch and augment existing technology, concepts and ideas into something new and better.

Employee Ownership

Omni’s team members are owners of the company. This creates pride of ownership, a heightened sense of responsibility and a commitment to do what’s right.

Our Story

Over thirty years and dozens of leaps and bounds in technology later, Omni has grown to a team of over 150 people.
We attribute Omni’s growth to our ability to continually reinvent ourselves and expand our services to adapt to the shifts of the market, fast pace of technology and the needs of our clients.

In 2009, a major transformation occurred as Omni Resources went from having a single owner to being an employee-owned company with over 100 owners. All innovation starts with the spark of an idea.

The result?

Today, we define Omni within the context of the traditional technology innovation cycle:

  • We invest in our own R&D at the very beginning of the curve to help us spot trends and identify what’s next.
  • A portion of our work is spent helping clients capitalize on the emerging technologies found on the left of the curve to drive their business forward.
  • A significant portion of our work utilizes a big toolbox of tried-and-true technologies. Fortunately, that toolbox keeps growing with our early identification and adoption of what’s next.

For Omni Resources, the employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) buyout was that spark. It ignited a fire inside the new employee-owners. The team now feels more empowered and 100 percent responsible for the future of the organization.

As we looked to the future, we needed to find a way to build a sustainable company in the face of the constantly changing and evolving world of technology.

100% Employee-Owned

While most people would probably admit that they’re attracted to the ESOP for financial reasons, they stay and become attached to the organization for the cultural ones.

Omni is set up as an ESOP – which stands for “Employee Stock Ownership Plan.” This is essentially a kind of employee benefit plan, similar in some ways to a profit-sharing plan. In Omni’s case, the ESOP is completely funded by the company – in other words, employees do NOT contribute any of their own money to the Plan. Shares are distributed to employee-owners over time.

Our Values

Our shared values underpin all the work we do and are the foundation of Omni Resources. We strive to bring our core values alive and keep them at the forefront of our minds and our business.

People Matter

Everyone, from family members to customers to team members, is treated with respect, dignity and a caring heart. The result is better relationships and a team that is passionate about their jobs, supportive of one another and willing to do whatever it takes to help our clients succeed.

Ownership Matters

We have an ownership mentality – because we ARE the owners of Omni Resources. As owners, we know that we don’t thrive or even survive without happy customers. This means that we are willing to go the extra mile. We welcome responsibility and take ownership of our individual roles within the company.

Excellence Matters

We take our work seriously and love being challenged to reach higher. When it comes to our team, we know that having the right people in the right positions allows us to do our best work.

Growth Matters

Because technology changes at the speed of light, our skills must constantly evolve. At Omni, we’re committed to lifelong learning and are continuously expanding our individual and collective knowledge base. We also recognize that our hard work must drive business growth and steady profits: for our customers, for Omni and for ourselves.

Balance Matters

At Omni balance is a critical component to everything we do. We strive to strike a balance between short-term goals and long-term vision. On a personal level, we recognize that each individual has a life outside of the office and we support work/life balance.
