Manufacturing Bill of Materials System - Labor Forecast Dashboard
The customer uses SQL Server 2000 for storing job, material, and labor information. They
recently underwent a data migration process requiring a new front-end to be developed
to facilitate labor forecasting, bill of material blowout and export process.
Challenge
The custom application must connect to a SQL Server databse and will model a complicated and
involved material blowout algorithm used by the client. The application must also manage the
forecasting of labor on a daily and monthly basis, visible as a labor dashboard.
Solution
An ASP.NET application was developed that stores the most current material blowout to the
SQL server database and allows the client to export the current data to a Microsoft Excel
format for custom reporting. The application also allows the client to track and monitor
forecasted labor to actual reported labor on a daily basis.
